Perhaps all religion has cognitive dissonant elements; but the New Age religion of modern spirituality, as I see it, takes the prize for creating a belief system that defies logic and justifies ignoring and circumventing the hard realities of the world in which we live. The irony is that I see the people who believe these lies as contributing to maintaining the status quo because silence is consent. They see people like me as resisting the status quo, which, in their belief system, allows the matrix to continue: what you resist, persists, is their dogma. Yes, it is confusing for almost, if not everyone.
What makes sense to you?

The "New Age“ movement may indeed be opium for the masses who have left the older religions behind them.
Intentional or not, it’s the perfect way to keep the “awakened” docile.
If Martin Luther King and Gandhi chose to do nothing, I don't think we would have even known them or gotten to read their amazing life quotes, and to see and feel the positive changes that came from what they stood for.
They might not be in this world anymore, but they left a mark in this world/consciousness by standing up for what is right, not by believing that everything is fine.
